Tarrytown Lighthouse, is a conical steel lighthouse located at Tarrytown Shoals along the Hudson River. Built on a stone pier in 1883, the white tower is similar to the Robbins Reef lighthouse on Staten Island. The first three floors are living quarters; the fourth floor has a bedroom and workshop, while the fifth is the watchroom. The lighthouse was staffed until 1957, when the Coast guard automated the light.
