	"Balboa Elementary School" I lived across the street from Balboa Elementary School, so I never had an excuse to be late. I had many great teachers that made a great impression on my life. I remember learning to read from the Dick, Sally and Jane books. Photo by V. Boukalis

Canal Zone Schools were some of the best in the world. At the time I was in High School, BHS was in the top 10 schools. Good education, good teachers, great sports, and a solid foundation to base our lives. I was in most of the music programs offered, and had the opportunity to have great music teachers at Balboa High School. Dr. Kennedy, was my most favorite, and still stays in contact with me today.
