Pigeon Point Lighthouse

Pigeon Point Lighthouse was built in 1872. Its revolving lens was first used on Cape Hatteras during the Civil War. It originally operated by a weight mechanism that hung in the center of the tower, and had to be wound up like a granfather's clock.
