Traveling to the United States, from the Canal Zone, was a great adventure on any of the three ships. Food, that was fantastic, shuffle board, swimming pool, and a great staff. The ship would leave from Cristobal, stop for a day at Haiti, then travel on to New York. It was always an amazing even to see the Statue Of Liberty. Great memories....
There were three ships used for travel--"Ancon", "Cristobal", and the "Panama". They were twin screw steamships.
"Ancon"
length: 493'
