Old Point Comfort Lighthouse

Old Point Comfort Lighthouse, was erected in 1802, in Fort Monroe. The tower is fifty-four feet tall, and diplays a flashing red ilght with a range of about 15 miles. It is not open to the public, but can be viewed at the nearby Casement Museum.

***Directions: Fort Monroe can be reached from Norfolk via I-64, Route 169, and Route 143. The sentry at the gate can point the way to the lighthouse.
