Muskegon South Pier Lighthouse, was built in 1903. The tower is forty-eight feet high, and its lantern holds a fourth-order Fresnel lens. The lighthouse is painted bright red for better daytime visibility.
***Directions: In Muskegon, take Lakeshore Drive to Beach Street and follow it to Pere Marquette Park. The peir and lighthouse are located just north of the park.
