Marquette Harbor Lighthouse

Marquette Harbor Lighthouse was built in 1853. Because of poor construction quality, it lasted only a few years. A square, forty-foot masonry tower replaced it in 1866, and still serves to this day. The lighthouse is now automated.

***Directions: From U.S. Highway 41 in Marquette, follow Lake Street to the lighthouse. The tower is located on an active Coast Guard station.
