Old Port Boca Grande Lighthouse

Located on Gasparilla Island, the Old Port Boca Grande Lighthouse is one of my favorite lighthouses. There is a museum inside the keeper's quarters..and a small gift shop.

Gasparilla Lighthouse is also located on this beautiful island...although it is a steel-skeleton lighthouse it is located on a nice beach area open to the public.

"Keep The Lights Shining", is my favorite expression. I love to visit lighthouses, climb to the top of their tall towers with spiral stairs, and to photograph them. My son jokes with me when I take my last look at a lighthouse before leaving it, and says "burn it in your retina".

When I am not visiting a lighthouse, I enjoy reading books about them, or surfing the web for websites about lighthouses. I hope that you enjoy your visit to "Wonderland". It is a pleasure to share my hobby with you.
