"Soapflake snow". Now, this is a great memory. Once a year, usually around Halloween, it was a prank to add soapflakes to this beauiful monument name "Goethal's Monument" located at the end of El Prado. Even though the soapflakes didn't help the mechanism of the monuments three tier water drop--it was the closest thing we Canal Zone kids had to seeing snow. The bubbles would fly through the air "lightly", all down the prado! I am sitting on the extreme left of this picture---nope, "I" didn't do it! I admit I was always tempted! My brother, Douglas, is sitting to my right.
