Crisp Point was one of four original Lk. Superior Life Stations. Built in 18875 and operational by 76. Crisp Point Lighthouse was proposed in 96 and constructed 1903-04. All but the light tower were destroyed by the Coast Guard in 1965. The complete history of this lighthouse can be obtained from Crisp Point Light Historical Society Of Paradise, Mi. Access to this light is some what difficult there were any recent inclement. Anyone with four wheel drive should not have any trouble.
