Big Bay Lighthouse was established in 1896. The tower is a square brick design, and is attached to a two-story dwelling. The light was automated shortly before World War II, and in 1961 it was moved to a nearby steel-skeleton tower. The old lighthouse was then converted for use as a private residence, and later as a bed-and-breakfast inn.
***Directions: The inn is located on Lighthouse Road, about 3 miles north of Big Bay.
